Teachers are vital in Teaching-Learning Process. Entire School Education revolves around teachers as they are the ones who drive the process. If they are innovative, participative and generate inquisitiveness of students, then learning attains a different level.

With a focus on imparting computer knowledge to teachers of BGS School, a team of InfoCeptians led by Ritikesh Bhaskarwar designed a 5 Day teaching module. The module includes five sessions, each of 2 hours duration that will be delivered at BGS by iCARE Project Team on weekends. The program aims at enabling teachers to understand basics of computer and its operations so that they can teach students more effectively. More than 15 teachers have enrolled to attend this program at BGS School.

The First Session started on Saturday, 8th July 2017. iCARE team comprising of Ankita Bhattacharya, Manish Makhija, Minal Soni and Nancy Kewalramani reached the school at 11 AM and were happily welcomed by the staff who were all set for the training program. The session included Basics of Computer & Peripherals and Introduction of Control Panel. Initially, the program started by giving them a brief introduction on Gmail.

  • How to create an email account
  • Significance of having an email account

Just a brief introduction was enough to motivate them creating their own accounts. Teachers were excited to learn computer and were eager to know more about it. Before starting the session, a small quiz was conducted to assess their present level of computer knowledge. Then, the team started with their presentation. Teachers enjoyed doing hands on during the session and iCARE volunteers helped them solving their queries.

iCARE Project team comprising Amol Bhoyar, Shirish Dharme, Tushar Deshmukh, Roshni Assudani, Ruchi Ghare, Noopur Ballal, Gautam Roy, Pradnya Shivankar, Madhura Shastri, Sarang Chimote, Sweekrit Suryawanshi, Akshay Kohadkar, Deepika Sachdev and Priyam Gupta worked hard under the guidance of Dr. Micah Aiyub to initiate & implement this fruitful initiative.
